Penguatan Literasi Dan Numerasi Melalui Pembelajaran Ipa Berbasis Eksperimen Sederhana Untuk Siswa Sd 101880 Tanjung Morawa

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy are fundamental competencies that play a vital role in supporting successful science learning at the elementary school level. This community service program aimed to enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills through science instruction based on simple experimental activities. The program involved 28 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 101880 Kanan III Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang Regency, and employed a participatory approach consisting of four stages: preparation, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The results demonstrated notable improvements in students' classroom engagement, their ability to interpret scientific information, perform basic measurements, analyze experimental data, and communicate observational findings effectively. These findings indicate that simple experiment-based science learning provides an effective and practical approach to strengthening literacy and numeracy skills among elementary school students.
